Ciao Bella Skincare opened its doors in March of 2011 when Newburyport local, Karen Damon, decided that after years of experience in the field of esthetics, it was time to create her own relaxing spa-like retreat for her clients.
Karen graduated from Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics. Prior to receiving her education, she worked in the Medical Spa industry where she discovered her love of skin. She was also trained by Laser Nurse Consultants working closely with nurses and providing laser skincare and hair removal treatments.
As owner of Ciao Bella Skincare, Karen prides herself on being the 'empress of the epidermis.' She loves to work with her clients to help transform their skin to become more youthful and healthy. She enjoys performing chemical peels as much as giving a teenager their first facial.
Using scientifically formulated PCAskin® skincare products and providing extensive client education, Karen focuses on the individual needs of every skin type and client to help you reach your skincare goals.

Susan Ryan-Tierney
Susan came aboard the Ciao Bella Skincare team in September of 2013. Susan is a 2001 graduate of Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics and received her eyelash certification through Xtreme Lashes®. After graduating from Catherine Hinds, Susan opened Be Pink , a high-end cosmetic and skincare boutique located in downtown Newburyport. At Be Pink Susan performed makeup applications, waxing, facial services, and eyelash extensions. Be Pink successfully operated until 2007 when Susan closed the store to focus on her family.
Susan offers full body and face waxing. She is eager to educate you about your skin and refresh your look with a facial or a chemical peel. Her specialty is Lash Extensions , Susan has performed hundreds of applications and has built a reputation for making womens eyes look beautiful, enhanced, natural and youthful.
Christine Kearney
Ciao Bella Skincare welcomed esthetician and lash artist, Christine Kearney, in December 2015.
Christine is a 2000 graduate of Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics. She went on to continue her education in Lasers, and holds multiple certifications in the Medical Spa Field. Recently added to her credentials in 2015, is her Lash Stylist Certification through Xtreme Lashes®.
Christine's passion is people. Her goal is for each of her clients to get the most out of their treatments - which include PCAskin®skincare treatments, facial waxing and Xtreme Lash Extensions .This beauty and wellness guru looks forward to pampering you.
